The Hobo Advertising Agency, Scotland (Glasgow & Edinburgh)
Blurb by ShaunThe good thing about having a lot of subscribers on the Hobo Web site is we get a lot of traffic without advertising. The downside is I can’t use my blog as a testing tool as much any more. The speed at which Google now indexes ‘trusted content’ sites makes you crazy not to be pumping out keyword rich articles targeting your customers, so I often just throw up an article to test how competitive a keyword might be and if there’s any qualified traffic there that likes the cut of my jib. Or I used to.
The Hobo site doesn’t rank for ‘advertising agency‘, for instance (it does now
) and at my old agency, because of the work I had done, we ranked no1 for ‘advertising agency‘ out of I think it was 144 million results, for years. I don’t do the seo for that site any more, although I do drop the site a few links (and actually I am talking to the ad agency now advising what should be done to capitalise on the obvious authority of the domain).
I always remember thinking advertising agencies must be crap at internet advertising and seo (search engine optimisation) because apart from one of two contenders, the competition was shit - for years, in Scotland and the UK at any rate.
I’m sure it’s more competitive these days - keyword searches for adverting agency glasgow, advertising agency edinburgh and the like bring up pages where it’s obvious some are having a go - lets see
Why? Well we actually do offer a complete advertising agency service at Hobo, tailored for small business and corporate, although we’ve not really promoted that side of the business as yet. We’re currently working on website design and website development projects, seo, internet marketing, online reputation management, Joomla and wordpress blog designs and installations, logo design, press ad design, signage, business cards, letterheads, graphic design, print and media buying etc.
Expect to hear more about this shortly….. hey, did you know we now have a church website design service?
